KBC Belgium racks up two International Banker Banking Awards

Best Innovation in Retail Banking Belgium 2016 and Private Bank of the Year Belgium 2016.

The renowned London-based magazine International Banker has honoured KBC with awards in the categories Best Innovation in Retail Banking Belgium and Private Bank of the Year Belgium for 2016. It has also named Johan Thijs Banking CEO of the Year Western Europe.

The International Banker Awards are voted for by the magazine's readership and a jury comprising financial journalists. They take account of not only growth, liquidity position and profitability of a company, but also innovation, technology, corporate governance, sustainability and transparency.

KBC is extremely proud to receive these awards,  which recognise the efforts KBC has made in recent years to become a sustainable, integrated, omni-channel bank-insurer that is the reference on its home markets.

Daniel Falque, CEO KBC Belgium, had this to say: 'This is further recognition of the efforts being put in by our employees on a daily basis. Everyone involved can feel justifiably proud, because this award honours their commitment and creativity in a fast-changing world.

More information on these awards is available on the International Banker website and in the press release issued by the magazine today.
