KBC Brussels puts the stamp on its Brussels identity

The new KBC emblem takes up position in the heart of the capital

Barely six months since its launch, KBC Brussels, the new self-contained brand common to both KBC and CBC in the capital, is moving into new offices in Rue de la Science/Wetenschapsstraat, right in the centre of a typically dynamic, cosmopolitan quarter of the city. The bank-insurer is therefore now firmly part and parcel of the Brussels scene, offering a range of tailor-made financial solutions.

At the beginning of June, the KBC Brussels team, headed up by Damien Van Renterghem, moved into a suite of newly renovated offices in the Périclès Building, which is but five years old and is located in Rue de la Science/Wetenschapsstraat, in the heart of the European Quarter. They are amenable premises, easily recognisable thanks to the fact they incorporate the entrance to one of the 48 KBC Brussels bank branches.

Featuring 30 open-space workstations overlooking the sylvan beauty of Square Frère Orban/Frère-Orbansquare, and four enclosed offices, two project rooms and a meeting room, plus car parking, the core KBC Brussels team of 25 staff have already fully forged their place among the people of Brussels.

Damien Van Renterghem, CEO of KBC Brussels, comments, 'KBC Brussels is aimed specifically at clients and prospects living or working in Brussels.   Our headquarters in the centre of Brussels are a perfect reflection of our Brussels, European, cosmopolitan and multi-cultural embeddedness.  Moreover, the dynamic character of Brussels is meat and drink to us. Born out of the bank-insurer KBC, we are a true start-up, ready to breathe new life into the financial sector of the Brussels Region.'

The new KBC Brussels offices, extending in total over 520 m², are both airy and modern and have ceilings fitted with a low-energy cooling system, an intelligent lighting management system equipped with motion and presence sensors, rainwater-recovery plant, plus planted roofs on top.

With neighbours like Apple®, soon to be joined by the Start it@kbc new-business incubator, the new KBC Brussels headquarters instil a feeling of freshness, dynamism and modernity.

KBC and Cera jointly establish the KBC & Cera Foundation to strengthen the mental wellbeing of young people
One in five young people struggle with moderate to severe mental health problems. This has been a growing trend for years that puts increasing pressure on their well-being and outlook for the future. Preventive measures are essential to tackling these problems in time and improving the mental resilience of young people, which is why KBC and Cera have jointly established the KBC & Cera Foundation. Drawing upon their many connections in broader society, they are now joining forces to structurally invest in mental wellbeing and better support young people where this has the most impact.
