KBC Group proposes two new independent members to the Board of Directors.

On the advice of the nomination committee of KBC Group, the Board of Directors has decided to propose Ms. Kristine Braden and Ms. Line Hestvik to the General Meeting of Shareholders as new non-executive, independent directors on the Board of Directors of KBC Group and members of the Risk and Compliance Committee and the Nomination Committee of KBC Group.

The appointment of the new non-executives is subject to approval by the European Central Bank.

Ms Kristine Braden is a former international bank executive with track record of driving double-digit revenue growth and returns in leadership roles at Citi across Europe, North America and Asia. She’s a strategic and inspirational leader with a passion for building high performing teams that lead together across major product lines, functions and client sets including corporate and investment banking, markets, transaction services, country and franchise management, wealth management and consumer banking. She has extensive board, legal entity management and regulatory experience.

Ms Braden obtained a B.A. Political Science at UC Berkeley, followed by accounting and corporate finance summer school classes at John Hopkins and postgraduate programs at MIT and at the Center for Strategic & International Studies, Washington D.C..

Ms Line Hestvik is an international executive with deep knowledge of insurance and financial industry. She has more than 25 years of experience, having delivered results in operative P&L and strategic change roles, in the Nordics and globally. She developed and executed strategy and ran daily operative business, with focus on business transformation based on digital, data, technology in combination with competence and culture development. As a chief Sustainability Officer she established the worldwide sustainability area of the Allianz Group, leading to Allianz being recognized as a leader in the industry by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

She has experience in serving on Boards in the insurance industry in Europe.

Line Hestvik holds a Master of Business and Economics (Sivilökonom), specialising in finance from Norwegian School of Management BI, Norway and conducted several executive programs at renowned institutes.
